Join us for the exhilarating finale of the Festival of New Work – where the ink is barely dry, the adrenaline is high, and the musicals are as fresh as they come.
Over just 36 hours, four fearless teams — each made up of a composer, writer, director and two performers — will be tasked with creating a brand-new short musical from scratch. They’ll be given a theme on Saturday morning… and by Sunday night, you’ll be in the audience for the world premiere of their creations.
This is not a development showing. It’s a full, fast, no-safety-net performance of four original mini-musicals — written, rehearsed and staged in two wild days. Expect bold choices, big laughs, rogue props, and a whole lot of heart as some of the most exciting emerging artists throw everything they’ve got into this joyful, high-stakes creative sprint.
Last year’s 2-Day Musical Challenge was a festival favourite — don’t miss your chance to witness the magic (and madness) for yourself.
You’re not signing up to take part — you’re coming to watch. And trust us: you’ll want a front row seat.
