Ready or Not: New Work Showcase is a bold, uncensored glimpse into the future of Australian musical theatre and cabaret — whether the work is fully formed or still finding its feet.
Over three evenings, twelve writers, composers, and creators will share 15–20 minute excerpts from new works in development. These could be moments from ambitious musicals, the beginnings of intimate cabarets, or something entirely unexpected — all showcasing fresh ideas, original voices, and the raw creative energy driving new music theatre forward.
Each night features four completely different works, offering audiences a rare chance to see stories in the making, connect with the creators, and witness the earliest sparks of what might become the next big thing.
Expect surprises, passion, and creative risk. Come for one night or catch them all — either way, you’ll be the first to experience these works as they step into the light… ready or not.
