YOUR COVID-SAFE VISIT TO HAYES
Hayes Theatre Co are committed to keeping our visitors safe by becoming a registered Covid-Safe business. We have introduced a range of health and safety measures guided by the NSW Government to ensure your visit to the theatre will be comfortable and enjoyable.
By purchasing a ticket or registering on arrival you agree to follow our safety measures and any associated direction from Hayes staff. Please note the venue will now only accept contactless payment and cloaking services have been suspended. Please refrain from bringing bulky items to the theatre. This is how your next visit to Hayes will work:
FIRSTLY, IF YOU ARE FEELING UNWELL, AWAITING COVID TEST RESULTS, OR HAVE RECENTLY RETURNED FROM OVERSEAS, PLEASE STAY HOME.
Get in touch with us as soon as you know you are unable to attend, you can call to let us know up until the day of the performance and we will exchange your ticket to another performance. If you are unable to find a suitable new date, we can offer you a credit or a full refund. Please see our ticketing policy for further details.
IF YOU ARE ABLE, CONSIDER DRIVING TO THE VENUE
There is limited street parking available in the streets surrounding the theatre. We also offer a $15 flat rate for the Secure Parking Station on Ward Avenue, just bring your ticket to be validated at the theatre.
AND DON’T FORGET YOUR FACE MASK.
For your health and safety, it is mandatory touse of face masks while inside our venue. Should you forget to bring your own, masks will be available for purchase at the box office.
ONCE YOU HAVE ARRIVED AT THE THEATRE, PLEASE SANITISE YOUR HANDS.
Hand sanitisers have been places around the venue for your convenience. We strongly recommend you wash or sanitise your hands at regular intervals throughout your visit.
ONCE INSIDE, PLEASE FIND A SEAT IN THE FOYER, ON THE BALCONY OR IN THE THEATRE
All patrons are required to be seated in all venues across NSW. You are welcome to grab a drink or a snack from the bar, but you will need to consume them whilst seated. The foyer and balcony have very limited seating options, please consider arriving early if you would like to enjoy a pre-show drink. The theatre doors will be open 20 minutes prior to the start of the performance, so you can take your seat in the theatre if no seats are available in the foyer or balcony.
AND THEN ENJOY A DRINK OR SNACK FROM THE BAR.
Hayes is now cashless and can only accept payment at the bar and box office via credit/debit card and contactless payment. Please contact us if you’d like to purchase drinks vouchers as an alternative.
If you would like to purchase a drink or snack from the bar, please remember to maintain a 1.5m distance between yourself and others. We will also be offering table service, if you arrive early to the theatre. You are also welcome to take your drink/snack straight into the theatre. To minimise queuing and clustering around the bar, we strongly encourage you to pre-order interval drinks.
TAKE YOUR SEAT IN THE THEATRE,
The theatre will now be open 20 minutes prior to curtain, to reduce clustering in the foyer. The stairs into the theatre are quite narrow, to maintain physical distancing, we will only be using the main theatre doors as an entrance, to exit the theatre you will need to use the side door which leads onto the balcony. Should you require accessible seating, your entry and exit will be from the balcony doors.
HAVE YOUR TICKET READY,
To lower the risk to our community, all tickets will now be sent via email. Please avoid printing them out, simply show your email/ticket confirmation on your phone and the usher will direct you to your seat. If you do not have access to email, please contact our box office and we will be able to print you a ticket on the day.
AND ENJOY THE SHOW!
We have introduced a new cleaning regime, which includes: thorough cleaning and disinfecting all areas prior to audiences arriving, regular cleaning and disinfecting high touch surfaces and staff will spot clean tables and benches after each group. We will also have a dedicated COVID Safety Marshall at each performance, to ensure your comfort and safety.
