This year we’re kicking off the Festival of New Work with a one-night-only Festival Opening Gala, celebrating new Australian Music Theatre Writing.

This unique event demonstrates the vibrant state of Australian music theatre, including show-stopping performances from new works that have featured in our previous festivals, and gone on to smash-hit sell-out seasons at Hayes and elsewhere.

We also look forward to this year’s line-up with some exclusive sneak-peek performances of new musical and cabaret works that will be unveiled over this year’s action-packed festival. You will be the first audience to hear songs and performances from works in development, from many of the artists currently shaping the landscape of Australian music theatre.

Join us for the event that will launch this year’s Festival of New Work, and champion what’s next!

Followed by drinks in the foyer.
