Become a Hayes Supporter

We were humbled by the support we received from individuals over the past two years. During an incredibly difficult time for the Arts and despite the fact that theatres were shuttered and dark, your generosity ensured we could keep working and that money could continue to flow to creative projects.

We know what it means not to be able to make art. How precious and tenuous these opportunities are for artists and the difference live performance can make to audiences and our community. Now we’re back. And there’s an extraordinary sense of joy at being reunited with artists and audiences. Hayes has always been a collaboration and it means the world to be together again.

Which is why we’re asking for your help so that we can look forward and focus on doing what we do best. It’s only through your support that we can continue to stage some of the best musical theatre in Australia and support our extraordinary artists.

Why donate to Hayes?

Hayes is currently the only professional company in Australia that consistently develops and produces brand new Australian musicals. It’s expensive and it takes a long time – but we believe that Australian stories should be seen and heard onstage.

We also produce and present some extraordinary musicals in our intimate theatre. And while the experience of sitting just a few feet from the action is what makes Hayes so special, our 111 seats can’t quite pay for the shows we put on.

By donating to Hayes, you’re directly supporting Australian artists employed on one of our productions, or funded through one of our many development programs.

Where will my money go?

Towards our productions and developing new Australian musicals. Hayes has extremely low administrative overheads compared to most arts organisations, so all the money we raise ends up onstage.

If you’ve ever admired the set, the costumes, or the way the whole show seems to come together so seamlessly – chances are it’s because of the generosity of our supporters who helped pay for design elements or those extra choreography sessions.
