Hayes Theatre Co is accessible to everyone. We encourage all customers with access requirements to get in touch with us so we can discuss your requirements. Our theatre includes road-to-stage step-free access, and we have several dedicated accessible seating areas.

VENUE ACCESS
A lift operates from the theatre entrance to the foyer and entry to the auditorium is via the side door located off the balcony for those who have difficulty managing stairs.
Please speak to the Box Office Assistant upon arrival at your performance to arrange access. Our staff and volunteer crew will assist in navigating these access points.

DROP OFF AND PARKING
There is the ability to drop off patrons requiring level access on Greenknowe Avenue; there is a loading dock space directly in front of our entrance. From here, patrons can travel through the front door to our lift that provides direct access to our foyer.

WHEELCHAIR AND ACCESSIBLE SEATING
A limited number of accessible seats are available in the front row of the theatre. These can be purchased via phone or through our website by clicking the ‘Book a Wheelchair or Companion Ticket’ button that appears on every booking page.
Seats A13 – A15 in our auditorium are reserved for accessible patrons and wheelchair users.
When attending a performance in the auditorium, there are two seating options available to wheelchair users:

Remain in your wheelchair in the designated wheelchair space (row A). Both A14 and A15 need to be booked under this circumstance, for the price of one seat.
- Transfer to a theatre seat (row A). If you are comfortable with a single step, you can also transfer to the aisle of row B.

LIMITED MOBILITY OR TROUBLE WITH STAIRS
If you have limited mobility but can manage some stairs, seating which may be suitable include rows A, B, C and D in the auditorium. To access all other seats in the auditorium (Rows E to H), you must walk up or down a minimum of fourteen stairs.
If you have difficulty walking up stairs or long distances, please advise staff and they will arrange for assistance from our front of house team, including the use of our side entrance.

LIVE CAPTIONING
Hayes Theatre Co produced shows include a captioned performance. Those attending a captioned performance are provided with 2 options for viewing:
- Patrons are able to view captions on large screens in Rows E – Rows H.
- Patrons seated in Rows A – Rows D can access the captions via their mobile phones. Instructions and QR codes will be available in the foyer prior to the performance.

ACCESSIBLE FACILITIES
There is one accessible toilet on the foyer level. There are also two ambulant toilets located within the male and female bathrooms.

COMPANION CARDS
Hayes is a Companion Card affiliate. The Companion Card enables people with a disability who require attendant care support from a companion to attend Hayes productions without incurring the cost of a second ticket for their companion. Cardholders must present their card when booking a ticket and upon arrival at the theatre.

ASSISTANCE ANIMALS
Guide, hearing and service assistance animals are permitted inside the Venue as defined under the Companion Animals Act 1998 (NSW). To ensure appropriate seating is allocated please contact us when booking.
